After reading Omag's thread 1.480 spinechilling BHP's it reminded me of this chap who built a functioning 1:8 scale RR Merlin. Now it is not just made to look like a Merlin, it is a Merlin down to the smallest part. Take a look here Select, Rolls-Royce Merlin XX - by Barry Hares. At the bottom is a link to a video of it running. I wish I had the modeling talent that Barry Hares discards in his toe nail clippings.
