When i turn down the volume completely on my PC speakers it seems to pick up as US radio station (bare in mind i live in the UK). Whats that about? Im guessing its American due to the accent and the constant talks of elections!
Is there a wire in the speakers that with be acting as an aerial or something? Its quite creepy, i thought i was going mad to start with..."I swear i can hear voices!" ;D

That's all of the subliminal messaging that our government put out to keep us under control. If you could hear it better, you would hear things like 'Don't Think' and 'Pay Taxes' and 'Repeal the 22nd Amendment!'
Listen a bit longer and you'll hear things like 'Eat those crappy McRib sandwiches that McDonald's rolls out twice a year...'

I would have asked if you had seen it in Castle Rock, Colorado before I asked if it was released in Europe

As to the original question...........you are probably picking up the in flight entertainment channel the crew use during slack periods on Aurora test flights. Probably a lose wire to earth causing it.

Simple answer, Some point of audio or any elelectronic devise are sensitive to static.
some times this point are too sensitive and are too open (something is working as antena)and you can pic up radio waves, the most common is in AM (amplituded Modulated ) in random
there used to be a devise NON batteries in the 60's where you could plug like an earspeaker into any wirefense from a farm or anywere made of steel and pic up radio thru this devices ..

Correct.. by the nature of "amplitude modulation", there are changes in electrical potential (above and beyond the changes that make it a radio signal in the first place)(frequencies that high might as well be direct current whan it comes to audio signals).
A conductor on a circuit board.. or a simple wire (even the wires running to the speakers themselves (especially if they're coiled somewhere).. or more likely, a component on the circuit board (like a coil or transformer) can have these changes in potential "induce" a voltage drop across them...

the intercom system in my dads house used to pick up CB radio conversations and... occasionally... if you were lucky.... cordless phone sex ;D
