Death of an old friend...

Postby Wing Nut » Fri Feb 29, 2008 9:09 am

Well, looks like Netscape Navigator is (finally) going away.  It's really a shame, but it's been a long time coming.  Like in this article, it was the first browser I ever used, but once I started using Firefox, it just seemed less adequate.  IE has NEVER really interested me, although IE7 has some nice features.

So long Netscape...

...its always a shame to see these old companies disappear... [smiley=thumbdown.gif]...!

My first, mid '90's, Service Provider was good-old Freeserve, and although it has been taken over by various Companies since, I am fortunately still able to use the name for all my e-mails... :)...!

It's amazing just how many well known names in the past, (Browsers and Service Providers), have fallen by the wayside... :'(...!
(I have some old Computer Magazines which lists them all).

Paul.... 8-)...!
