I'm no stranger to such strange beliefs as that is part of their culture. Heck, American culture is even strange to other nations.

a dog doesn't want to know about other dogs you've had.
you don't have to have tea with your mother-in-law.
you can legally sell the children.
a dog doesn't need three hours in the bathroom to be ready to go to the shops.
dogs don't collect shoes.
the later you are the happier the dog is to see you.
a dog never asks if its bum looks big.
dogs like beer and hamburger more than some posh French restaurant.
you don't have to buy a dog expensive gifts.
the average dog only lives 9 years.
Personally I can see a lot of advantages
