Soap Opera...Humbug

Postby FLYING_TRUCKER » Mon Nov 12, 2007 9:39 am

Goodmorning all... :)

Well the old girl and I are like two peas in a pod, we work, play and do almost everything together and after many many decades that is the way our relationship has developed.
It is great and I would not change our relationship for anything.

Bad luck Doug, my wife views my being on the forums as a sort of blessing. Means she has the God-box for the telly and watches what she likes ;D

Soap opera? - pish!  ::)

I enjoy your stories & reading your posts far more than any soap-opera rubbish on the goggle-box.

All the best to yourself & the 'old girl' Doug - & if you need a hand moving the old cockpit indoors, just post a request.  ;)

Cheers,

TSC.

Good evening all.... :)

Thanks TSC I shall remember that.   ;)

Sure wish I could get my hands on a Link Trainer or something similar that does not cost as much as another bug smasher and I do not have to take a three (3) foot thick stone wall out.
What I have now is several old airframes that will never fly again and I do not have the technical skills to make them into motion simulators and there is no instrument panels of any sort with them.

A very good friend of ours who I flew with in the service went on to fly Boeing 747s with Air Canada and I went on to fly Douglas DC3s and Consolidated Cansos lives just north of North Bay Ontario.  We all visit back and forth three or four times a year.  He owns a Republic SeaBee, Cessna 337 and Cessna 185 Amphibian all on his own strip.  He has a Cessna 150 in an attached room to his home that is complete with sound and motion.  This room is his room, complete with bar and large screen television.  His wife is also a Private Pilot but they have a family room as well.  When we get together we take turns doing approaches into Toronto, land, one of us jumps out, grabs two beer and we are off again.  The women allow us to play for several hours before the law is laid down.   ;D LMAO

I would love to have something like that but the cost is as much as another actual flying bug smasher.

Oh well the soap opera continues as the old girl would say, bless her and her nattering nannies.    ;D   ;)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

I'm sure you'd get plenty of volunteers to help you take down walls and move fuselages ....... providing you handed out the free beer  ;D ;D

I'm sure that some of our younger fitter members would give the nattering nannies something to talk about by working topless  :o :o

Keep posting for the soap opera Doug, I'm sure I speak for most members when I say that your posts are one of the reasons for sticking around on these forums.

[color=#003300]Bridge, huh? I just got off a weekend at the jobsite where a card club played well towards 0400 both Saturday and Sunday mornings (they had been at play for most of the previous days); a mixed group, though, not just females or singles.
The Simviation Soap Opera? Like we were in a barber shop? She really is a bit unaware of the cliqu
