1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

I wouldn't like to see that thing being delivered by 'recorded delivery' either.  ;D

It seems MOAB has to move over for FOAB! ;D

Definitely wouldn't want that going off anywhere within a few miles of me though :o

We once detonated only a tad over 3,000 lbs of C-4 and assorted HE (High Explosive) devices and got both the town and the base in an uproar for some reason. ::) ;D ;D

They'd be in a definite uproar but they wouldn't complain after this exploded -- they'd no longer be. :-X

Yes... because aq is messing around in their backgarden (=chechniya) too. Basically its about control over an oil pipeline that is parralel to the baku - adana one.

Only real difference is that the MOAB begun its life as an 'engineering tool' and this one is from day 0 what it says on the package: a big flying can of flammable liquids. Also, the MOAB is deliverred by a slow Herc, while the russian one fits in the Tu-160 (that can do Mach 1 at low altitude)

True, but a bomb that size will not be dropped at Mach one. Looking at that video, it is not all that aerodynamic looking. Even a TU-160 will have to go at Herc speeds because if he does not, the bomb will only have exited a few inches before it hits the air stream and is then ripped out of the belly of the aircraft, taking large bits of aircraft with it.
