If it doesn't fit .. It fits here .. - -

It seems someone entered a picture of himself toting a gun a couple years ago in his class picture and caused a court scene. This year a 17-year-old Merrimack (NH) High School student wore a black and white sundress while she sat on a costume trunk and held a flower. However, the school is refusing to print the resultant photo as is -- no props allowed.
Not all photos are taken with the subject standing -- that's why they're sometimes called sittings, whereupon the subject is propped by what they sit on. Could the flower be pinned to the dress? How about artificial flowers woven into the fabric? Does that make the dress a prop? If the stem were wedged between her teeth, would her head be a prop -- or just her teeth? Then she'd have to start college toothless, unable to wear dentures because her gums would then be a prop. Good thing she's not a piston-engined airplane.
Be careful the next time you're near a flower -- its pistil might be loaded.
