I almost couldn't care less, when I know I shouldn't. We haven't had a near hit like this since '99.
Here in Dominica (right below Guadeloupe and 2 islands up from St. Lucia), everybody's home and waiting. It's heading right for us, and I intend to spend every last second wasting my life away infront of the computer until the power company takes the electricity away.

Right now Dean's a Category 2 hurricane with 100mph (sustained) winds and it'll be over us by midnight (GMT -4). Then it'll be back to ordinary life and post-hurricane radio broadcasts (that along with the TV constantly on the weather channel is kind of getting annoying).
Maybe I'll heat the beach during the perfect weather that follows a storm. 8-)
Anybody else around here, lies in the path of Dean? (Or Depression Erin? Pounding TX with water?)
