Read the thread

It doesn't seem like many people have noticed what's going on in the Simviation Airport thread. Time to read it.

I am just a train fan who happens to like flying and attempting to get the better of the mods especially those with 20/20 vision ;D ;D

I'm sure people read it every now and again but it's stopped being a thread now and more a conversation between you and Cessna93.  ::)

I know you've put work into it but it doesn't seem like the kind of airport I would ever want to fly from.

Sorry.

It hasnt been a conversation between us two we are just suggesting were to put the Europe one. AND SpitfireBoy is in it aswell, everyone else can suggest it isnt closed. I dont mind if it looks horrible it is still an airport to fly from, which adds to the very big list.

If people want to read the thread they will read it.  Please stop telling us to go to it.  In other words, stop wasting space by posting a thread about another thread.  Thank you

I'm perfectly calm.  If he wanted to say we have a beta why didn't he just post saying there was a beta?  Makes more sense to me ::)

Alright, folks, fly nice.  Heh.

I think I understand the spirit behind murjax trying to draw attention to the SimV airport thread.  He is very excited that progress has been made and would like the support and opinions of his fellow community members (that'd be us, btw).

And, yes, the thread has had its ups and downs.  It doesn't seem like we have a regular in-house development team at the moment, so progress has been slow and experiencing a steep learning curve.

Like most things, I would humbly suggest that if the SimV airport thread and murjax's cheerleading for it are not in your interest, just ignore it.  I mean, there are hundreds of threads I look at but don't comment on because there are not specific to my interests or areas of knowledge.  But, they may be important to someone else, so let them be (provided they are not outright breaking any of the forum rules, adn if they do, tell a mod . . . don't take the law into your own hands  ;D ;) ).

Now, if the SimV airport thread or a SimV airport in general is of interest to you, let us try and help murjax (and whoever else) with constructive criticisms.  Someone who is working to learn add-on development still needs encouragment and positive comments, even if the main runway leads straight through the passenger concourse.

All this to say, play nice.  If what you are saying to someone else would more than likely hurt your feelings if said to you, you may want to think of a different way to say it.  And this also goes for responses to responses.

For example, instead of suggesting that advertising or announcing progress on the SimV airport outside its main thread is a stupid waste of time (which could be your perfectly valid opinion), maybe you might want to ask (or suggest) if there is a better way breaking-news-like information on SimV-themed developments could be announced to everyone (maybe we need a virtual news channel or paper or something  :D ).

I think murjaz was just plenty excited, and deservedly so.  He didn't deserve to get stomped on for it, even if his enthusiasm bubbled over in a couple of threads.  Excitement and enthusiasm in our shared aviation interest should be encouraged, ne?

The rant is over.  I know return you to your regularly scheduled flaming.
