August is here and the rain is pouring

Yup, Monsoon season is on here in my mile-high home in New Mexico. It just won't stop raining. Half the day it's too dangerous to go outside because all the rain is from thunderheads. So, here I am, cooped up at my computer, trying to have a little fun without risking a nice jolt (I'll leave that to the coffee).

If there is one good thing about living in New Mexico, it's that getting used to pressurization in a plane is much easier. I grew up breathing thinner then normal air, almost at pressurized height.

I don't know why you're complaining about being cooped up inside...it gives you a valid excuse to play video games and do nothing productive all day!

Bah.  Come join me in Japan.  Rainy season officially ended the other week . . . only so now we can enter typhoon season, which would be rainy plus windy season.  Of course, it is still summer, do despite rain and wind, it is hot and muggy.  You don't sweat in drops, it just comes out all over your body all at once.  Heh.  Well, I guess the sky is always bluer from the other cockpit, ne?  And, I cannot really complain, seeing as even though I am melting at my desk, noone seems to worry to much if I check in on the forums while I am at work.  Sigh.  Only one more year of the easy life . . .
