Just don't piss off the bull (if theres one in the field) and you will be fine :P  He'd probably be to occupied with a heifer to care if you walked through anyways ::)

I recently read a book about hiking the Apalacian Trail.  Apparently the advent of cell phones has really played havoc with search and rescue teams as anyone with a cell phone and lacking in cranial matter can take to the trails and call when they get in trouble, like the guy who walked in to the woods and then called the park service saying he was too tired and demanded to be carried out.

The 'land mines' dropped from the cows' posteriors would be the larger danger.  ;D

LOL.... ;D...!

Cows are, by nature, very inquisitive animals and it's not uncommon for a herd of them to rapidly approach the unwary person suddenly appearing in their territory... :o...!

During our many Camping* trips to the countryside with my young son, years ago, at was a common occurrence, and very difficult to persuade them to "go away!" and stop demolishing our Tent...LOL...!

Paul...Herefordshire....containing LOTS of Cows, lots of Cow Poo, and lots of Methane!... ;)...!

* "Camping": Not to be confused with dubious masculine activities.... ;)...!

I know what you mean... A while ago, I had to check out a purification plant in the middle of a meadow ( next to a farmer's house). So the farmer and I removed the lid, and 20 young cows approached us to inspect what all the fuss was about. Then the farmer had to get some tools and asked me to hold the cows a bit back so they wouldn't fall in the pit. As soon as the farmer left the scene, I was surrounded by 20 wet noses and let me tell you something, you just don't push back a large beast as a cow!  ;D

Ah...cows. My grandfather has a farm (which contains ALOT of cows. About...24. Add one bull) and we regularly drive up in a 4x4 to check on them. It was a panicking An-225, who wanted to get out of there when they tried to bite off our wing mirrors. It got worse when they started ramming our 4x4.

Never had any mishaps with cows, but I did witness a shear panic of one exceptionally stupid family of idiots at a rest area once. The mother and several children acted like they'd seen King Kong. They were screaming and running in terror. The woman stopped beside me and pointed. She said absolutely terrified, "What in God's name is that creature!" I looked over and tried my absolute best not to fall down laughing. It was a truly vicious looking.....chipmunk.  :o

Just in case there is anyone that has never seen a chipmunk. Here's a picture of this massive beast with a human hand in the picture for size comparison. ::)

If they had been in the same field as the extremely grumpy cow in the video clip, then that would have been worthy of a distress call.  The cow didn't even stop when a car was being backed into it!
