The telephone number is a UK mobile, but the email is from Hong Kong.... and a free yahoo one to boot.
Do these people really believe others will fall for it?

That had a news report in the states and they were saying "intelligent people: were falling for this crap. I had to laugh, I think that their intelligence was disproved by that whole report!

But there are tons of greedy folks out there and as long as thats the case there will be scams like that!

On a serious note, the sad part is that oftentimes, it is the elderly that will fall for sounding schemes like that.  People who have taken care of their money all their life will be receptive to official sounding stuff.
