Say it ain't so....

They say, even though the climate change on Mars is the same as that's on earth, the Martian global warming is caused by martian winds.

So Mars, which is a dam sight further away from the sun has global warming, and it is natural, but on earth, closer to the sun (and the sun is getting hotter) it's our fault.

once Mars was hot , maybe hotter than earth ,distance to the sun has nothing to do with it, Mars used to be a warm, an had a much denser carbon dioxide atmosphere, When the geological activities stop Mars was in trouble , the Vulcano activity stop ,this dense atmosphere escape to the space due to a lower gravitational pull(remember Mars is the half of the size of the earth) ,the planet became more transparent , Ultraviolet & infrared rays from the sun did not kept in the surface and continue making warm, so the planet become cold, the 80% of its acient ocean also escapes (vaporised) into the space ,and a small portion it, its only in its poles today

Vulcan activity on Mars, that's interesting.  I do remember climatologists and vulcanologists have measured an observable link between volcano activity and the climate, such as Mt. Pinatubo.  But there's no way us humans can presume to compare our activities to such a natural occurrance as a volcano erupting.

And another question that I have, with the current state of climatology, weather forcasters can predict with some degree of certainty just a week into the future how the weather will be.  We all know if they try to predict any farther than that, they stand a big likelyhood they'll be wrong.  Heck, they even blow it just 5 days in advance.  We've all experienced that in our daily lives.

And recall how there were the predictions that the summer following Hurricane Katrina will be an absolute disaster, and all that was blamed on man-made global warming.  And what happened?  The following hurricane season was quiet.  The predictions were flat-out wrong!  So, if they can't predict what it will be like in 6 months, or even 7 days, how can we depend on all these predictions of man-made global warming being remotely accurate?

But there's this huge world-wide mobilization to combat man made global warming.  It's absolutely amazing!

No, no, no!! You are all wrong. The certified, no-question-about-it global warming on Mars is caused by the exhaust emissions of the simjets we fly here in our FS worlds. The simConcorde is the worst of the bunch. The only way to save Mars is to use just one ticket of tailwipe whilst in the throne room. Trust me on this. Hell, trust Sheryl Crow. She's the expert...

"Global warming" is a hoax perpetrated on us by the environmentalist wackos and former Communists. Follow the money; research who is pushing this idiotic idea. These people hate the freedoms and opportunities we have in the West and especially what we have in the United States. World domination via Soviet-style Communism failed abysmally (as it only could). So now they are trying to do it by making us change our way of life, surrender a Freedom here and a Freedom there, by making us pay more for cars and lightbulbs, and eventually forcing only US citizens to pay a tax to fund worldwide "anti-poverty" programs when all that is needed to eradicate poverty, violence and famine is an equal distribution of free-market capitalism. Command economies do not work. Free-market economies flower when the government gets out of the way and lets people pursue their best interests.

If you get into a discussion with a global warming wacko, ask him what the weather will be ten days from now. If he says "How do I know?" ask him how he can be so certain what it will be 100 years from now.

And remember: Earth Day is always April 22. Lenin's birthday is also always April 22. Think there's a connection there?

I have other things to do now. Gotta get going...

murjax,

Ten years is more than enough time for the global warming nuts to change your life forever. We need a strong UN ambassador to thwart the efforts of these clowns-- someone like John Bolton. But, alas, the libs did him in. And precisely because he was one who wouldn't bend down and kiss their tokhuses on every issue like a Madelaine Albright would...

I wonder if anyone ever thought of the fact that perhaps there's a difference in the solar activity? Perhaps this has a far greater influence on our climate than people believe...

Anyhow, while I agree we should cut back our emmisions ( I have a degree in Environmental Chemistry), I never heared any conclusive evidence of what is happening... Human change, natural change, ... No one can say for sure...

But let me tell you one thing... If we did affect the climate, than this has been going on since the industrial revolution, which started over 100 years ago. That also implies that the worst is yet to come, as no one did give a darn about the environment until the late seventies... So I guess we'll have to ride it out and see what happens...

That - and everything after - is the dumbest statement I've read in a while!

Congratulations!
