Hi,

I want to take a subsription to PCPilot. Who of you reads it and if so can you tell me if it is any good before I spent 44 Euro for a years subscription.

Thanks in advance,

Crash ;)

Why dont you do what I do, Crash...
Pop into the paper shop each mumf, have a browse through the Mag, and if there is anything of interest there, buy it, or else put it back on the shelf again, and save some money...?

It's what I do with all my various Mags....cant afford to buy them all every Month...
...and some of the "stuff" isn't all that interesting anyway... :o...!

Paul...up to my arse in various Mags*...need a bonfire... :-[...!

* before you comment...not "That Sort"... ;)...!!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

Hi Paul, there is a small problem with that. You see, PCPilot is not available in the local book and magazineshops around here. It might be somewhere here in Holland but I think it will be hard to find. So a subscription is the only way to get it.

Crash ;)

PS I don't like 'that sort' of magazines. They don't 'feel' the same.........

One of England's great success stories is the ability of ridding the Planet of trees to produce more variations of Newspapers and Magazines than you can shake a stick at... :o...!

News International has already got their eye on one of the trees in my garden to produce a new production run of "Shovehalfpenny Monthly".... :'(...!

...and the are suggesting that I also supply the Pennies... >:(...!

...or, at least, half of them.... ::)...!

Soui...!

Out of interest, do you get the magazines, like PC Pilot, printed in your home language....like "Double Dutch"... ::)...?

Or has every one got to learn English before they can read a Mag...?

Hmm. Ako and Bruna you say. Gotta check those two out. Last time I looked they didn't have it.

Paul, English magazines are sold in English here. No need to translate them into Dutch. It would be to expensive since the potential market is quite small. And English is one of the languages you get in school here in Holland next to German and French.

I tend to do what Foz does, but it is usually a very informative and good magazine, with lots of reviews and goodies on the CD :)

Not as good as it used to be. Haven't seen a review of freeware in there for quite some time. Coincidentally it used to be based at the same address as Just Flight, but was sold to Key (who publish FlyPast, AFM, Todays Pilot etc) last year. It still appears to have the bias towards JF products though - their Lancaster was given 5 stars when it was clearly flawed and not up to the standard of other 5 star review products (such as PMDG's 747 etc, Plane Design's Lanc etc).

Buy it, but take some reviews with a pinch of salt.

Bought the March-April copy today. Found it in a bookstore in Amsterdam (had to be there anyway). Some interesting articles and a nice cd with some add-ons (none very usable) and movies. I don't know yet, will see if the next issue is the same or better.
