Maybe indirectly. Until recently it's been very difficult to open a new account or even change an existing one. The new server seems to have fixed that but it also makes it easier for spammers to sign up.

PS. The best thing is to ignore these morons until a mod can remove the offending topics - & don't click on any links.

Is it possible to add a rule where you can't start a new thread until you've added to a couple existing threads?  That'd turn the spammers off pretty quick: you'd have to invest too much time to make the spam worth it.

That is a good idea. 10 replies or so before you can post. Not the world to ask for if you are serious about being here and easily completed.

I like Spam too...

Spam Fritters.

Slice thickly.
Dip in batter.
Place in a frying pan containing a small quantity of cooking oil/Olive oil.
Fry on both sides until nicely browned.

Serve on a hot plate with mashed potatoes, peas, and OXO gravy...
(Optional fried egg).

...scrumptious... ;D...!

Paul...in a hungry mood again...;)...!

It probably depends on the forum software.  I know some forum software supports it (IIRC Race Sim Central's forum has this rule, probably for the same reason) but I don't know about this software.
