our petrol is down 45p (roughly depending where you go) per gallon. Another 45p per gallon drop and we'll be back to the prices of 10 years ago.

I've noticed that too, it's down to $1.99 here.

Today unleaded fuel at my local supermarket is 86.9p per litre, a drop of 13p from early this year, when it was...99.9p per litre.
that's nearly 60p per gallon decrease!
Still too bloody expensive though. ..

Cool it may have dropped more from when I last saw it. I just spotted the thing on the news I knew it had come down quite a bit. Should be half the price it is now though. If you do a lot of miles it costs far more to feed the car than it does to feed a family. Seriously. We used to do about 200 miles per week and the fuel bill was big portion of the family income.

It still varies a lot depending on where you are. I've seen it locally at 81.9p per litre. That's quite a big drop.

Its really been a relief to see the prices fall so much since I returned home.  When I left for Taiwan July 30th gas was running in the $2.98---$3.03 per gallon range for regular self serve.  I returned August 19th to see it down to $2.75.  

Currently $2.12 on my way to work this morning and from what I hear its going to drop even farther if it hasnt already.  Its still way to high but at least my paychecks are starting to accualy pay off the bills again insted of going in the tank

Now if it gets down to $1 a gallon again I would be happy.  It was in the $1.25 range when I first started driving (legaly anways )  

I'm living in an oil crazed city. Aberdeen is a big oil place with lots of big oil firms here. I doubt that makes any difference to the prices, but I'll look tomorrow and see what they are.

Can't believe it's dipped below $2/gal.  already in some places around here... better fill my tank tonight, while I can still afford it.

HMMM... gas prices dropping now, so what is next on the public bitch and moan list???

Guess it is time to turn on the TV and check the news Im sure the media and  Politicians are getting ready to unload the next wave of bull on us.  ;D

Bear in mind that even the cheapest petrol I've seen recently (81.9p per litre) works out at over $7 per (Imperial) gallon.

its nice to see the local prices of chicago in the $2.50 range, around $2.58 in my area.

the weirdest part is this isn't an election year, when republicians will try to get the vote by lowering gas prices.

We still pay around 1.30 Euro per liter(!) here. Which is way to expensive. Dutch government........ thiefs.

Going at 85.9p per litre at a small garage in Aberdeen centre. I think in other places its closer to yours Doug.

much better than the 104.9 i saw earlier this year crapepd myself when i needed to fill up and i was spending more than i was putting in

just need super unleaded to drop a lil more. (i use 97 only the best)

You know what's funny? The fact that oil companies find large oil reserves that can bring in barrels by the millions yet the gas prices [most of the time] only fall down by a nickle.
