my 1,500 mile trek to New Mexcio by car is gonna be fun. riiight. from Chicago to Albuquerque cause my mom is moving, and im staying (usually the other way around for college students). but i get to ride the Southwest Chief (from Amtrak) back home. anyone want pictures? If i remember correctly, which i dont, and i need the route, here's the list of cities i'll be passing through.

Leaving ABQ: July 19, 12:45pm
Arriving CHI: July 20, 3:20pm

over a day's trip, i can deal with that. i love trains. so much, i'll usually ride Metra once a month for the hell of it.

Sounds like fun! Take plenty of pictures!  So, did you get a nice sleeper birth, or are you stuck with a slightly-more-spacious-than-an-airplane-seat seat?  ;D

I think i've only taken one long/overnight train trip and that was between St. Petersburg and Moscow ages ago, but yours sounds like fun, even if you're stuck in that seat.  Hopefully there's a dining car or some stops?
