I don't understand how politics interferes with a game of soccer/football.

Where football is concerned England & Germany are still fighting WWII (& WWI). ;D

PS. I took this at the Southend Air Show about a month ago. They were selling like hot cakes. ;)

I see so many British cars with those silly red and white flags attached, I wonder what would happen if I decided to attach a German one to mine...  ;D

Remember boys, the definition of football... it's a game of 90 120 minutes, there is a ball involved and in the end, the Germans win...   ;D  ;D  ;D

Go Portugal! ;D

Omag runs and hides...  ;D

the irony is, if france beat Brazil and England beat portugal. You have Italy and Germany on one side of the brackets, and France and England the other.  Its a modern day WW2. ;D ::)
As for Argentina its not just the Falklands but also goes back to when the Argentines beat England because of a highly contraversial desicion.

With the exception of the USA once an enemy always remembered as one.  :o ;D
The British media never let go. There is national pride in winning and humiliation in losing hence that is where there is political strife.
But you are right really it has nothing to do with it.

Well on Tuesday we Americans are gonna celebrate the day when we said "UP YOURS!" to England ;D
