Hi all,
i just accidentally put my foot through my CPU, and the engine sound isnt working anymore on FS. The sound card or any internal components dont seem busted; save for the CPU case. Any advice?

John

12 gauge shotgun ;D  That tends to do the trick :P

Old computer suffered that fate after the mobo blew :-X

Not sure what would cause you to loose sound with anything involving the CPU...and how did you pull off kicking it in the first place ???

What, did that wily leg get away from you again? Sheesh, better put that thing on a leash!

First and foremost, is everything else working ok?

LOL! sorry, but it's funny. Don't feel bad; i come within an inch of putting my fist thru my monitor about once a day. And my work laptop has been in great peril at the office (26th floor, with windows that can be opened... so tempting when that POS acts up...)

How did you put your foot "through" your computer? Was the case open?

Keeps it out of harms way.
Keeps it dust-free.
Easy access to the CD/Floppy drives.
Easy access for upgrade/maintenance/plugging "stuff" in...etc...!
