Nice to know an organisation (oxymoron in itself) that doesn't know its arse from its elbow, has cleared up that for us. Happy Mr Fozzer ;) ;D
Even more worrying, they have no plans(theres a surprise ::)) in the event its proved wrong, which is generally, always. :D

How could anyone plan for that? If there are aliens, whose to say that they aren't so powerful that a nuke would be like a bug on the windshield to them?

And whos to say they are hostile?
This is why, if there really are other beings from outer space, they dont bother saying hello. LOL. Most people's first reaction is to wipe them out. Same thing brought up like you did first in the article.
No evidence exists to suggest that the phenomena seen are hostile or under any type of control
Key word being "Hostile"

The last thing I would want to do is greet visitors with a bomb. :o Who knows what kind of phasers they have in those space ships of theirs! :o

As we're all basically suggesting, things like that usually blow up in one's own face. :o :-X :-/

Next these killjoys will be saying Hogwarts doesn't exist! Grumpy buggers in Whitehall :P
I have to say I don't think aliens would visit this planet. A mere 5 minutes of scanning all our TV channels would convince them that there is no intelligent life on this planet ;D

Just to throw a conspiracy into the works ;D ;D

Not one of you has thought of the possible reason behind this.

Maybe something unusual is going to be tested over UK airspace, which will throw up all sorts of "UFO" sightings... conveniently explained away before the event.

OOOOOO the paranoia  :o :o :o

"Star Trek" and "The Matrix"...  ;)...!

Paul..."Beam me up Scotty" and "Can I borrow your shades, Neo? "... 8)...!

...It's lovely down here on Earth, amongst the normal folks..;D...!

  Neo...not Nero... ;)...!

Foz is in his own little world like everyone else and, likewise, doesn't acknowledge it. ;)

I thought the story was that he was fiddling so fast that the fiddle caught on fire. It now being aflame, he began running all over the place and fiddled all the faster to put the flames out but it spread all the more. :o Nothing like editing history. :P 8)

One explanation for UFOs I've heard is provided they were hostile, the Air Force (or RAF, I guess) can do absolutely nothing about them, considering their speed and how they can change positions so quickly.  Makes the USAF/RAF looks bad, eh?  I still think all these UFOs are silly though. :P
