The rise of anti-social behaviour orders in Britain has nothing on the town of Fairfield, Connecticut, where authorities have imposed a restraining order on a cat accused of terrorising its neighbourhood.
Lewis has attacked at least six people and ambushed an Avon sales representative as she was getting out of her car, the Connecticut Post reported.
The order means that Lewis, a black-and-white long-haired tomcat, is effectively under house arrest, while his owner, Ruth Cisero, has been charged with reckless endangerment.
The Avon representative is suing Ms Cisero for $5,000 (

...I just love it when the American Legal system uses the phrase...
... "Reckless Endangerment"... ;D...!
It covers so many things that our English Legal system misses out on...
...like Fozzer hanging his underpants out on the line to dry therefore terrifying the neighbours...
...and other similar occurrences...

Paul...still trying to figure out what the American word "Arraigned" means...?
Does it mean, like over here in England, "Banging the annoying toe-rags up in prison until their case comes to Court"...?
....ever curious, as usual...;)...!

P.S. I'm all for banging annoying toe-rags up in prison for evermore and throwing away the key...
..what say thee, Brothers...?
LOL...!

Arraign - To call (an accused person) before a court to answer the charge made against him or her by indictment, information, or complaint.

I remember the toerag I caught trying to steal my VF500 in Watford. I went to hit him over the head and "forgot" I had my lid in my hand. Fractured the little nerks skull. Fortunately he had a screwdriver in his hand (and wrecked my steering lock and ignition with it) but the police believed my version of events that he was trying to stab me.... no sympathy in that corner as the arresting officer was one of my mates from the local bike club ;D

I see you were quite the active member of the local Hell's Angels chapter?  ;D

BTW: are you making a career in crime-fighting? First shoplifter, then Bike-thieves, rearranging bankmanagers..  ;D

I've lived in some very rough neighbourhoods Kris (still do but only for a couple of more weeks).
As for bank managers.... the war continues ;D

If a cat ever attacked me like that, I would either shoot it, or it would end up crawling away ::)

Well you'd be done for animal cruelty. You can assault a person and get less sometimes. ::)

ASBOs do work and they are good in many respects, but they give them to people who should be in jail and thats the problem.  ::)

I've seen people get away with murder in the name of self defense, literally.

I would certainly not let an uknown, and possible rabid animal get away with trying to attack me ::)

Well it depends on the circumstances I guess. One must take the situation as it arises.

How did your country manage that? No wait, let me guess. You sent everyone, and everything that had it over here.

Am I right? ;D

We never had rabies here. Mainly because we're an island nation but I reckon it's only a matter of time now. Blasted Channel Tunnel put paid to that. ::)

Interesting. I never knew that the UK didn't have it.

I'm not too familiar with it, except that it's transmitted when bitten by something that has it, but if it's transmitted between animals and humans, wouldn't it have migrated there sooner or later?
