Silly but the most impressive one I heard about was a Soviet fighter pilot in WWII who got shot down at 25000 feet, his chute failed and he survived! He hit a giant snow drift which decelerated him without killing him :o :o :o

Wasn't there a flight attendant who fell out of an airliner that exploded at 30,000+ feet and survived? It's been a while, but I think I vaugely remember someone talking about that...

Well, upon landing, i'm suprised it wasn't his stem :o

Great shot - but with a bit more speed he could've cleared that 2nd ledge aswell ;D honestly, no commitment ;D

Ahh - I thought it looked like a skier - but just assumed from the site that it was on a bike.

Still not committed enough to clear the second ledge :P ;D ;D

Cheers,

TSC.

PS: Cobra, do you race downhills?? Ever hear of a guy called Darren Tapp anymore?? Or ever?

I'm still wondering how long they had to dig in that snowpile before they found him again...

Probably not, he was a guy I used to ride/race with, did quite well at a few nationals in the downhills (top 5's) & the last I heard he was racing for 'Fat Chance' - I was just wandering if he was still racing, or doing any good.

Cheers,
