Strathallan Skydivers

Years ago outside of Perth,Scotland some daredevils(idiots)amongst whom was 'Bullshit' Bill Hendry threw themselves out of perfectly good airplanes.

The Strathallan boys were mentioned here in the forums some time back and a member 'Crazy Craig' was following in their demented foot?steps.

Today in Perth,Australia the survivors(those whose parachutes opened)are having a reunion.

and so I open the sunday paper and what do I see--
'Skydive plane in drama'

The Piper Navajo developed engine problems when climbing out of Pinjarra south of Perth,Australia. The skydivers exited the 'plane safely and the pilot made a successfull wheels up landing in scrub short of another local field,Murray Field.

The 'plane had been involved in a previous incident but this one occurred with new engines with less than 50hrs recorded.

Which brings me back to the Strathallan boys when 'Bullsh!t' Bill and all had to bailout when the newly built engine in the 'plane they were in lost oil pressure.

Fortunately all landed safely as well

As the beer was consumed it took a practiced ear to understand the mixed broad Scot and English accents,particularly when the insults began to fly.
