Agreeably, the alcohol content of the beer is irrelevant, although lead boffin Professor Dietmar Fuchs inevitably cautioned that the potentially beneficial effects discovered "must of course be weighed against the negative effects and dangers of drinking alcohol".

Fuchs added: "The effects could indeed be observed on extracts of alcohol-free beers. Our findings must, therefore, not be understood as an encouragement to drink alcohol."

Who honestly could take seriously a man whos last name if pronounced a certain way sounds like a dirty word? :P

I thought it was proven a long time ago...Some beverages in small amounts can be good for you.  The main one I know of is a glass of red wine a day.  But i've heard the same from beer as well ;)

hmmm yeh well i think they did some surveys, though i fail to realistically see how putting a toxin into your body can be a good thing?? My theory is that people that drink red wine are generally more afluent, so they just live longer and healthier lives...

would be nice if it was true though!
