Prowler crash

I remember seeing today on the news that an EA-6 crashed in Washington state I think. All four crew members ejected safely though.
*edit, it was from NAS Whidbey Island in Washington, but crashed in Oregon.

That would be the regular old A-6 Intruder. This was an EA-6 Prowler, an electronic warfare jet.

Looks like the Prowler was the final straw.
Navy grounds ALL aircraft for safety review

A half a day for maintence? If they are worried about saftey, they need more than 12 hours to take a look at all 3,800 aircraft in the fleet.

Oh, well never mind then. Then agian I thought that they had retired tha A-4 also but it seems there back along with A-10 guess the dont leave things in mothballs very long

The A-4
is retired.

Ok I head the a-4 was brought back to serivce temporally along with the A-10
