Saw that live! Just before she made the jump, the commentator said something like "This is Jacobellis' victory lap...". The moment she fell off was half funny, half unbelievable. ::)

Whoopsie.

Now the fact that she gave up her childhood, friends, personal relationship with her family and basically her life upto now sure seems worth it. ::)

Oops. Even if she didn't win, she still got a medal. She's got plenty of time to practice her stunts untill the next olympics

I doubt it. This kind of events, you're really in your prime. Not sure how she would look four years from now.
