I have a business trip to Portland , OR coming up in about 2 1/2 weeks. My trip is booked on Northwest.
I just heard a news report on NPR today that Northwest's pilots are looking at going on strike soon due to the company trying to cut wages about 50% and kill the pension program....... Feb 28th was mentioned as the possible vote day.
So.... do I cancel my reservation completely and try to book another flight on another airline? Or do I "sit pat" wit theh reservation and hope that nothing goes wrong by the end of the first week of March?
I have just about NO flexibility in the travel dates. The day I am secheduled to fly there is the day I NEED to get there (March 7). A tad more flexible on the return.... but not really because there will be a screw up if I am late. It is just a more minor mess.
If I get screwed up on the flight out there,......... I mess up presenting at a significant national level professional conference.
Appreciate any suggestiions to help me decide.
best,
......john
