Believe me, most people in that area are just as bad, Thankfully living on Portland we were seperated from the mainlanders. Just jealous really But seriously there are some seriously un-happy people around to be like that.

LOL!!! Talk about synchronicity! And of course, a nice dose of that particularly British form of snobbery...

Reminds me of the one time I did the "message in a bottle" thing: when I was just a kid, I put a note with my address in a bottle and hurled it as far as I could into the surf at the NJ shore.
 Expecting to eventually have a pen pal in Africa or some such exotic place, I was bemused to get a reply later that summer from a lady who found it a ways south on the same beach (never even made it out with the tide).
What's odd about it is that she lived on my street!!
