Some people still do that. Dunno why. SimV is the only place on the internet that I really want to talk to new people. At least I know they have the same interests.. ::)

My answer to A/S/L is usually something like "30/H/Uganda". Then they ask what the H means, and I tell them Hermaphrodite. ;D

When ever someone asks me a/s/l; I promptly tell them it's spelled DSL, and I perfer it over cable.
You'd be surprised how many that confuses.

You could reverse it: L/S/A. Light Sport Aircraft.

So, ....can someone enlighten me as to what a/s/l is ?
....these letters have no common bond to me, especially if it is some form of netspeak, which is frowned upon at this forum anyway.....
I'm not saying this for any specific reason, other than I'm totally ignorant of the meaning and would like to have some chance to catch up to the rest of the world..?........

...........sometimes, I think I need to get "in" more and see how the world is interacting online.........

Getting "in" isn't usually worth it. ;). A/S/L is short for "Age/Sex/Location?". Short for it, or a lazy way of asking. ::)

Basically, Ken when you meet someone on the internet, either you or they ask "ASL?" which means Age/Sex/Location. I have no idea why they would want to know that information, unless of course they were a stalker or something.. ::)

So in my case it would be 16/Male/New Jersey

Better? :)
