An amazing read!

I meant to post about this a while back but if any of you get the chance pick up "Under The Wire" by William Ash. It is the amazing autobiography of Bill Ash who as an American teenager joined the RCAF to fight in WWII, was shot down and spent most of his war involved in the most incredible escapes from POW camps. It is beautifully done and full of dark humour.
All-in-all a remarkable gentleman with an amazing story to tell!

I'm reading Stephen Bungay's "The Most Dangerous Enemy" at the moment, but it's tougher going than the first hand accounts . I'll put this one in the Amazon shopping basket, thanks for the tip Ozzy

I should start reading more. Almost all of my reading of the last few years have been school textbooks, technical manuals, military stuff, or flight manuals.

Thanks for reminding me Ozzy - I was looking for that book a while back, but i'd forgotten about it - sounds like a cracking read - i'm off to Amazon now to order it!!
