I lost interest in pro football many years ago when it first became big business rather than sport. All you get now is one team of highly paid players from all over the world against another team of equally highly paid players on the other side. Usually, but not always, the team with the highest paid players wins.
Most of the big teams are made up of expensive foreign players, some of whom can't even speak the same language as their team-mates or the manager, instead of home-grown talent that they've trained themselves from young boys. If they do happen to have a talented home-grown player who they might have spent years encouraging, another team will come along & snap him up before he's any use to them. I really don't see the point.
