Fundraiser

Postby kingmarktheaviator » Fri Dec 02, 2005 11:16 am

Hello all, apologies for not posting for so long!  I have been planning a Round the World flight on Flight Simulator for the Devon Air Ambulance, which will be going ahead starting on the 17th December.  The flight will be done in one sitting, meaning that we will be completing this flight in roughly 58 hours.  It will involve myself, and five other cadets from my squadron taking turns to fly each leg of the flight and it will be harsh!  Any help with donations etc will be gratefully recieved!
There is a website for the event at http://www.freewebs.com/daatfundraiser

OMG this is going to be a harsh one!

Money's tight at the moment, but what a great idea! I thought of this while doing my not-in-one-sitting RTW DC3 flight...200 hrs total, with some sittings almost as long as the turns you guys will be taking. Might organize my own someday.
What route, what aircraft, and are you trying to beat a current official record?

we will be flying an Airbus A319, and we will be flying exeter-glasgow-greenland-new york-bogota-mexico city-san francisco-anchorage-yelizovo russia-tokyo-hong kong-kuala lumpur-new delhi-baghdad-cairo-venice-exeter.  If i have included all of the airports there should be 17 legs there, ranging from 1 hr to 5 hrs!  We did our best to try and visit every continent, however antarctica would be a bit too hard really!  We have got
