Mobile madness

Postby ozzy72 » Wed Nov 30, 2005 8:20 am

Just when I thought the devices of evil couldn't get more stupid or annoying a British company has just released the Teddyfone, a mobile for 4 year old children! Hello? WTF?
The world should be put in an asylum for its own safety ::)

Apparently this thing has no screen, the speaker is in the teddies nose and it only has 4 buttons so you have to preset the numbers you can call from it.
I can just imagine it some bloke in the office getting a call like  "Daddy help I've just shat my pants!" or "Mummy is shagging the milkman AGAIN!" ;D

I heard this on my radio alarm this morning while still half asleep & thought I was still dreaming. Just another example of the greed of big business. I felt just the same about alcopops when I first read about them. Whoever heard of alcoholic lemonade? What a stupid idea I thought. Unfortunately I couldn't have been more wrong. Is the world rapidly going mad or is it just me I ask myself? ::) ???

Meanwhile, have you heard about this one? ::) Choking Chicken

PS. This "toy" is aimed at young children from 3 years old.

I don't suppose the makers of that toy have ever had the need to kill a real chicken, and see how unpleasant it really is.

I'd be careful talking about chicken choking in these here parts Doug as some of our American cousins are liable to suffer hernias/broken ribs/ruptured spleens from laughing so much about a choking the chicken toy ;D I always thought Playboy was better for that sort of thing ;) ;D

Clearly the marketing dept hadn't known the expression either, within a week of non-stop tittering teenagers in shops they will ;D

Cause everyone knows you break it's neck. Not throttle it.

I think it's called wringing its neck. You know that & I know that but how many 3 year-olds know that? Most of them have never seen a real live chicken. If they do happen to spot one in later life they will think it's perfectly normal to wring its neck. ::)

Now there is one way of solving this ......... stick the phone inside the chicken and choke both the kid and the chicken when the phone goes. SORTED!!

Dispicable. Who are they going to call anyway?
