I promise you if it were a white player in this situation he wouldn't have said a word. I for equal rights as much as the next person, but this guy goes to far sometimes.

My mom just showed it to me fifteen minutes ago.

Guess who else is rallying for T.O.?

Ralph ****ing Nader.  He has even less to do with this than the reverend, if that's at all possible.

Nader is responsible for the pop-open on top of aluminum cans; it was supposed to be some sort of safety feature ::). Quite some safety -- not too infrequently, I've had one break off into the can. If one's not aware, it's there for someone to swallow (I didn't swallow one but how many young kids may have someone else open a can for them) :P. Someone told me that Nader originally encouraged it because the previous style was pulled completely off and thrown all about. So much for his theory: they'd just seen me snap off the pull-tab and throw it into a trash can; I then proceeded to drink from the aluminum can in hand with no tab to poke my nose -- if it's such amiss, Nader can drink out of the trash can and retrieve the tab. 8)

I agree with Jackson on this one, but I still think he's a...
eh, nevermind- that'd be political... let's just say it could be the very first time I've ever agreed with anything he's said.

As for TO, he ought to know better . And he shouldn't beef about anything, considering what he gets paid to play football, as opposed to real work. Some of these whiney pro athletes need a serious reality check.
But a year suspension  is ridiculous, considering what many other players do...

I'm sorry Rotty but TO ran out of chances. First of all it was Mcnabb who stuck his neck out to get him onto the Eagles roster, so what does TO do? he doesn't get thrown to a couple of times in one series and he starts yelling at Mcnabb and pushing him on the sidelines, on live TV and infront of the fans, thats unacceptable to begin with as Mcnabb just calls the plays given to him, if Owens was open then too bad. Then when Owens gets hurt and the Eagles are doing well, he doesnt goto the media to praise the team, he goes on tv praising himself and saying how they wouldn't win without him so he would be there for the superbowl. In all the playoff games he was at he did his best to make sure he was on TV. And of course then we come to this offseason, his constant bashing and criticisim of Mcnabb, blaming him for the superbowl loss and putting him down. Well as far as I know, no-one else had a problem with Mcnabb, and as we know a football team only works well especially the offense when the whole team is behind its QB, Owens was doing his best to ruin that. And of course the hold-out despite being into the first year of his contract, which involved him then arguing with the head coach putting down his team mates and generally the whole eagles team, further dragging the teams name through the mud and damaging team harmony. And then through-out the season it continues untill he attacks the medical trainer for a comment, along the lines, "ok whos faking an injury in here" funny how TO lashes out, maybe hit a nerve. How many here could say after all that plus the assualt of a co-worker they would still be hired?
The guy has all the talent in the world, too bad he has nothing in the old coconut and is now being guided by that shark Rosenhaus. If he just shut-up and play this year he would have been given a huge contract next season. But he needs to feed his family. I earn less in a month than he does in a day, yeah i feel his pain ::)

This is why I kept my mouth shut.  The punishment didn't fit the crime, but I was sure there was more to the story.  Given everything Craig has said, this is just the straw that broke the camel's back.  Even still, I'm sure there are many points to which one could defend this "TO" character with.  All in all, I'll stay out of it, because I know nothing of the situation and I've never cared about sports.  Except maybe NASCAR, but only 'cause there's explosions and cool stuff! ;D
