HELP! Reoccurring spoiled milk problem

I've been getting a reoccurring problem for the past month. I leave a new carton of milk in the refrigerator, and it goes bad in about 5 days. This does not happen to every carton of milk, it happens to every second or third carton. But it does not happen to sealed jugs of chocolate milk.

I'm starting to suspect that the refrigerator is starting to die on me; does anybody know a healthy average temperature of a regenerator?

I also could be wrong. Does anybody know whets going on?....I'm also suspecting that bacteria is culturing in my refrigerator.

A healthy refridgerator temperature is below 8 degrees C. That is as far as UK Health and Hygiene regulations for food are concerned.

The temperature in a refrigirator should be around 4

Is your fridge door closing correctly? Even the merest gap will let cold air out & warm in.
Is your light staying on when the fridge door is shut? The easy way to find this out is to put your cat/favourite small pet inside the closed fridge for a minimum of 1 hour. If your cat/pet blinks it's eyes a lot when it comes out you know your light was off. That was a joke by the way.
As for bacteria culturing in there, ever heard of a cloth and soapy water?

THE MYTHBUSTERS RULE!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I iamgine your refridgerator is a wee bit warm, or maybe bacteria is the problem. I don't think it'd dying on you yet; else more of your food would begin to go mouldy.
Thanks,

Also realize that not all milk may be exactly the same "freshness" even if the date is the same on the containers. Then, when it leaves the dairy, the cooling unit of the vehicles carrying it may vary (making a bigger difference on a longer route). Sometimes the particular market may not shelve it as soon and the back storeroom may be warmer than some. The storeroom may also be lit and light affects the milk (especially in plastic containers); thus, the lighting when it is shelved is also going to affect it. Also, how hot does it get on the trip home?
Now, what else is spoiling in your refrigerator? If mold forms on anything, the spores will undoubtedly spread around the refrigerator (note NWISimmer's "cloth and soapy water" advice) but it won't get into a properly sealed container; however, the transfer can be made by hand, so to speak, when the container is opened. Of coarse, if nothing else has or will spoil, this is a bit more quesationable as a problem.
Lastly, are you keeping it on hand for 5 days after you've opened it? Every time it's taken out of the refigerator for use it's life is shortened by more than just the usage. :P

Dr. Ozzy says defrost your fridge fully and then try using it again! Don't forget to have a mop handy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mrs Ozzy tried this when we had trouble with milk going off and beer not cooling properly. Worked a treat ;)
