3 million!? :o The majority of people living in the area wouldn't be able to afford this and would have to move away. I wonder how anyone can get onto the property ladder nowadays inthe South.

The annonmous purchaser was probably a rich tourist who frequents the UK during the summer. ::)

The problem doesn't just exist in the south nowadays.  It seems to be countrywide that property prices have gone silly, I live just outside the M25 and the prices are very similar to those in York, where my sister lives.

The average house price is now way above what the average wage can afford.  To add insult to injury I get a "London Weighting" bonus to my salary due to the supposed high cost of living but my colleagues in the north don't.

But Sandbanks is only a very small area of Poole, not all the houses in Poole go for anywhere near that price.

To my suprise he is actually a British businessman who lives in London.

Cheers,

Hey,

Don't worry about that pricing bubble, it went WAY! up in Australia this time last year and really crashed this year. Market cycles...
