Actually, I found quite a few NL Cubs fans in Nebraska; most of their AL fans rooted for the Royals.

just earlier today this woman walked by when I was at the recycling center and said "go sox!"... I got a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

everyone here is astros crazy.  Yes, I am a little upset they lost yesterday, but woopdedoo! We lost game one in the NLCS, and look where we are.  I think that it was just 'first world series jitters'  I mean, after all, wouldn't you be a bit nervous if you were playing in the world series for the first time in franchise history?  THeres a lot riding on your shoulders, including 44 yrs of never making it.  ANyway, just to put in my two cents, I really am happy for Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio, both of whom have been with the astros for more than ten yrs, and have finally gotten to the World Series.

My dad is from Wisconsin, he's a diehard Packers fan.  We live in Philly.  I've been here all my life, so my loyalty lies with the Eagles.  Boy is it a fun night in the Torphy house when the Packers and Eagles play

edit: Different for college though.  My best friend's dad introduced me to PSU football, I go to all the home games.  I'm a fanatical Nittany Lions fan.  However, my dad went to Wisconsin, and is a Badgers fan.  In that case, your loyalty lies with your dad's (or mom's) college team.  When we go to Penn State in two weeks for PSU v. Wisconsin, a game that could possibly be for the Big Ten championship, I'll be wearing Badgers colors.

And we'll be sitting with the President too, can't wait to see the look on his face
