Not really, the new do only whats nessicary on offense scheme is working perfectly, Jakes gone now a couple of games without an INT, the running games working aswell as ever and if a passing game is nessicary, New Englands secondary is pretty open for a good short passing game. With the defense being as good as they are and Champ Bailey hopefully starting again it can only get better. New England have to learn from Washington though and run pleanty of short yardage max protect schemes to stand a chance. And its Invesco field which is always one of the better home field advantages.

Oh man, this Carolina @ Detroit game has been hard to watch.  First off, I'm not sure who to route for.  Carolina is my favorite team, but Joey Harrington of Detriot is my favorite current player.  So, that makes it hard to watch.  Next, neither team is playing well at all.  There has been a ton of turnovers and several bad plays.  Currently, its a 14-14 tie in the middle of the third quarter and Detriot is currently challenging yet another fumble.  So, its kind of hard to watch (on the other hand, I should be studing for my human physiology mid term this week-but even a bad football game is better than that   ::)).

But, on a lighter note-my beloved Oregon Ducks destroyed the hated Washington Huskies yesterday 45-21 in a game where the score didn't show how bad Oregon hammered them.  So, that was a fun game to go to (especially when a couple of Washington fans decided it was a good idea to wander down into the Oregon student section at halftime-they were quickly dragged away by Police before they were hurt).  Although it was kind of a boring game (Oregon scored like 31 unanswered points) but it was nice to see us win.  And, now we are 6-1 and ranked #15 in the nation according to the Associated Press!!!

Well, the Carolina game got interesting in a hurry.  With about 3:00 left in the game Carolina got the ball trailing 14-20 and no time outs remaining.  They began to drive down the field.  On one play, Jake Delhomme dropped back to pass and got pressured; he escaped from the grasp of a Lion and ran up the middle for about 5 or 6 yards.  Then, he slid feet first (so, he couldn't be hit) but a Lion safety hammered him.  So, that was a 15 yard personal foul.  Unfortuantely, Delhomme was physcially still in Detriot but mentally he was knocked back to his farm in Lousiana.  So, he was out for the game.  Backup QB Chris Weinke came in and amazing led a game winning drive down the field to score a game winning TD with 45 seconds left.  So, Carolina won 21-20!!!

And here we see the lesser spotted Pats defense. Or maybe not. Nice to see not only two bogus calls against Denver but also one of the pats punching Ekuban at the half so he's gone. Real classy champs. Still not enough. but be veewy quiet as its hunting season in the pats secondary ;D I say this with the disclamer that they dont screw it up in the 2nd half :-X

Nevermind, they like to make life difficult for themselves. Still a totally dominant performance by Denver. 5-1 cant be wrong.
