Like many others I always watched the cricket with the TV sound turned down. The radio commentary was far better. Check out the sound clips on this page. The one at the bottom is a classic. I defy you not to laugh out loud.

Brian was a cricket commentator on television from 1946 and became the BBC's first cricket correspondent in 1963. After he was dropped by television for being too humorous, Brian transferred to radio in 1970, where he became a national institution on Test Match Special.
