How Did You Hear About SimV?

Postby Hai Perso Coyone? » Fri Sep 02, 2005 11:56 am

This question has been bothering me for a while...so I just wanted to know how different people heard about SimV. I, for one, heard about SimV when I friend of mine said that files from SimV has Trojans in them...I did not beleive that at all and nothing so much as Spyware has ever turned up inside any of the files I have gotten from this wonderful place...Yes, I know it was a weird way to find out...but hey!!
Cheers,
Ashar 8)

PS: I don't where this should be....
PPS: This is not pointless...it had a point...at least I think it does ???

I found these forums looking for websites that had FS downloads. I just looked it up in the search engine and SimV just so happened to be one of the results. I didn't join the forums until a month later though, lol.

I was doing a search for some info on the latest Flight Sim because I hadn't used MSFS since CFS1. I found this place and discovered that not only was the latest one FS2004, but there are free add-ons! I didn't know anything about add-ons before that. Then I decided to get seriouse and bought FS2004. As soon as I had a problem I couldn't figure out, I signed up for the forums.

Wanted to find some help and Simviation was the first site that came up.
It was the first forum I ever joined too.

Never regretted it. ;)

Been coming probably since its (relatively) early days I suppose as I used to search loads of places for my addons from the first time I got FS5 onwards - but I always remembered this site for the P-51 and C-17 background wallpaper. I'm fairly sure one of the first aircraft I got here was David Eckert's FS2000 Grumman Avenger - I think...

I heard about the 'big V' from browsing the top 100 aviation websites, it was either in there or recommended from another site in there.  ;)
