Tipping point

I know what youre talking about!
I once had a sandwich at the hotel where I stayed in Canada. So when I was finished, and had to pay the guy, I gave him 15 % of the bill, and the guy looks at me, calls me an assXhole, and leaves. (remove the X )
the only person I would tip was my barber for some unknown reason..
If your on about tipping then its not a legal requirement anywhere to the best of my knowledge. Thats the whole point, you pay someone whos a good waiter/ress. Now if your on about something automatically added to the bill i have not actually seen this yet. Generally my only requirement for a tip is a smile on ordering and food delivery, i think its unfair to tip the waiter/ress based on speed as more often than not they can only go as fast as the kitchen is cooking. Here in the UK you can legally refuse to pay a service charge if you feel the service is unacceptable.
