I don't think it's talking about the candy.
I think it's refering to the fleshy pink stuff you're teeth grow out of.
I don't care...I love gum![]()

...so you are the bloke who goes around "gumming" up our pavements, and extracting loads of money from me in Council Tax to scrape it all up......!
May your "gums" give you a "heart attack"......!
LOL......!
Paul...(no prob's with false teeth)......
...!
Paul,
Just so you know, I am one of those good citizens that actually uses that silver paper to wrap the gum in when I spit it out...
Cheers,
Ashar
As the son of a dentist, I can safely say that chewing the right kinda gumm is good for your teeth. The sugar free gums are the right kind! Chewing it does stimulate the saliva-production, needed to neutralize the acid-attacks that take place after eating food ( chemically, sugars are converted to acids in the mouth). The saliva will rince the teeth, even at places that toothbrushes can't reach.
These acid-attacks destroy the glaze-layer on the teeth, making them accesible for the rather nasty bacteria that break down the structure of the teeth...
So by all means... CHEW! ;D
