Your Future Occupation in life...?

Postby Fozzer » Mon Aug 22, 2005 7:42 am

Paul The Curious...!

I often wonder how many gamers, (12 year-olds+), playing Flight Simulator, Combat Flight Simulator, Train simulator, Midtown Madness 2, Flashpoint, Doom 3, Hardwar, Bass Fishing, The Sims, etc....

....actually, in real life, become Commercial Pilots, Military Pilots, Engine Drivers, Racing Car Drivers, Marines, Killer of Aliens, Space Trading Pilots, Buyers of fishing rods, Comminity Services Officials, etc...

I love playing Dune 2000, but I really dont think I am going to actually fly to some distant galaxy far, far away,to help the Arrakis to dominate the Planet Whatever, and ensure the continuing supply of Spice to the known Universe...

...not by tomorrow, anyway...!

It's just a flippin' game, chaps...trust me...!

LOL...!

Would love a carreer as a pilot - but I'm not clever enough... ;) plus if it requires a lot of private lessons first - I don't posses the cash.

I have raced more on driving games in my life than I have ever flown in planes. However, I haven't gone through any games recently, just sticking to FS. 8)

I'd love to fly profesionally though I doubt this will happen, my eyesight has recently slipped bellow RAF/Army requirments again that and I don't want to be an airborne bus driver  :P

Well I certainly didn't envisage teaching.... when I left school all I wanted to do was get in a uniform and kill people. Mind you teaching often feels like it should be that way ;D
Hmm okay well I did rallying and racing long before they appeared on computers properly so that is that out.
I do spend quite a bit of time playing Jedi Outcast at the moment... give me a lightsaber and I'm off ;D

Most likely going to fly in the USAF...but if that fails...there are plenty of nice jobs for enlisted USAF people...I want to do something in the USAF, and flying is my first choice... :)

You know them god-games where you toss your troops around and make them do all sorts of wicked stuff? That's what I am aiming for! Complete control!

Harkonnen getting nasty again? I'll think I'll create me some Fozzers. They aren't cheap and hardly the quickest, but man, do they pack a punch! Their flying gascooker/Jordan-combo is hilarious...!

Omag... never ever been playing Dune 2000... lol

BTW: I used to love first person shooters, but I became a salesman...

Hi Paul :)

Very seldom use Flight Sim for anything but emergencies and instrument flying.

It is a great tool to keep up to date on certain aircraft I ferry here and there and when the old girl can go along.

I do not even own another game or program and probably never will.
