for the aussies

Postby Craig. » Fri Aug 12, 2005 12:06 pm

Well since the last time i made this prediction England then dropped quickly. I just thought i would say it looks like England are about to hammer the aussies in the 3rd test match:)
Been a heck of a days play by our bowlers though.

Don't count your chickens. What's the weather forecast? Those Aussies never know when they're beaten & this is Manchester we're talking about. ::)

Hagar with fingers & toes tightly crossed. Not easy to type like that. :D

actually cricket is becoming a big sport in many of the major cities in the US. Its mainly thanks to the immigrants from India the west indies and pakistan. but its also caught on with Americans aswell. They even have an international team, but sadly their board is run by idiots who actually got them kicked out of a recent tournament because of indesicion.

True... but we made the bat round, to make the ball harder to hit.
So there. ;D

That and the fact that a cricket bat wouldn't work at all in a baseball style stance or the style of pitching:)

I can't see cricket ever becoming popular in America. Certainly not test cricket which can last up to 5 days & then not get a result at the end of it. We've been lucky so far this season but so much depends on the weather. It's all part of the game.

While it'll never become a huge sport in America, with the number of immigrants introducing the game to americans i think it will eventually have a place there. Like football (soccer) is starting to now. Lets face it, there are pleanty of good weather cities in the US. Then again its un-expected weather that makes it fun. I could see twenty20 cricket becoming very popular. This game has really helped it out in this country, the fans are coming back to the game and its really an exciting game. pleanty of boundries and pleanty of wickets. And it helps the test game, which is getting an even bigger boost in this country with Englands great performances as of late.

444 all outi n the first innings was brilliant.  I hope we stuff the aussies, I never liked Shane Warne anyway!
