That was neat how they showed you everything including altitude and speed.

The HUD view, all 5 seconds we saw of it on sky news was really cool. The decent angle is amazing. They actually have a simulator at the space & rocket visitor center in Huntsville, its not a huge thing or moveable, but simulates the final approach of the thing, not once was i able to land the thing first time i overshot the whole thing trying the standard plane style approach, next time i nose dived about 1000 feet before the runway. Had to give up the seat for others at that point

Saw the whole thing live!! It was amazing!!  :)

My mom woke me up early this morning to watch it. It was pretty cool. I watched it on NBC, and it's cool how it started out as just a glob of heat, and slowly worked itself into the shape of the Shuttle. Cool.

Get X-Plane 7 or higher. It has a scenario where you can be in the Shuttle from space and re-enter, be in the process of re-entering, or on final. Harder than you'd think.

The whole thing happened live on TV while I was in the shower . I got out just in time to see live footage of it (the shuttle, not my shower) sitting on the runway. I shall be checking out whatever videos I can find on the net though.

What about Orbiter?

Well, if you have dial up like myself, you can't be assed to sit there and wait five hours for a 60mb program that I'll probably play three times.

They have that Shuttle Landing sim at Cape Canaveral too.  One of the people who works there watched me land it, and said it was the first time she saw someone land it.
