Hoorah to Her Majesty's Royal Navy! :)

Glad to hear the crew are safe, and I'm glad that another Kursk situation was avoided...

In the end all that matters is the guys are safe:)
Of course its nice that it was our guys who rescued them, but its also good to know the US were also on their way out to help.

Aside from the fear of dying, I heard that they said it was "very, very cold". I can imagine... but I'd rather not.
What an amazing rescue!!

Well done the boys in Navy blue. :D

To be fair it wouldn't have been possible without a little inter-service & international cooperation. The RAF flew the RN rescue team & the Scorpio craft out there & it was taken to the rescue area aboard a Russian ship. According to this report the team included civilans employed by specialist marine firm James Fisher Rumic which I assume owns the Scorpio.  A small team of US divers also helped. The Russians also thanked Japan for their assistance but I don't know if they played any part in the rescue. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4128716.stm
