Spielbergs slaughtering doesn't even get close to that, especially with his cheesy family drama.
Tom Cruise was pretty good 'though.

D Didn't get to hang out on Ferry Street when they were shooting, but I'm eager to do the old "Hey, I know that place!" thing...
I'm sure it's not even half as powerful a film as Byron Haskin's 1953 original, and even that was kinda goofy compared to the original story or Welles' brilliant radio play, but what the heck. It's a cheap rental...
