I saw the "new guy here" thread and realized I never presented myself properly.  So hello all, I am the Dread Pirate Leadbones.  You can call me Ryan if you like.  I love all sorts af games, sims and role playing especially.  Not being a pilot myself you might wonder why I felt the need to join this forum.  Well, I'll tell you...

(Cue grainy black and white footage of net surfing, sad violins playing...)

Most forums I have found are clogged with children spitting juvenile curses at eachother and having no respect for others opinions.  After careful deliberation I figured simmers were most likely to be thoughtful and respectable types.  A little searching and some peeping tommery, and it seems the world is represented pretty well here.  I'm sure some residents will call me crazy, but have you visited any OTHER forums lately?  Pretty dissappointing.

In other words, it seems to be a pretty nice exchange y'all have going on here, and I'd like to be a part of it, if you don't mind.

(yes my posts will tend to be a bit long... sory to the short of attention!)

Hi Leadbones... welcome to the club... And no, we don't think you're crazy... We try to keep the high standards of simv up. This means a friendly place with a positive atmosphere... That's why so many stick around. Trolls and negative people are quickly driven away... or even forced if necessary...

But hey... just get involved and you'll see... you might even become a FS-addict!  ;D

Hi Ryan, welcome to SimV - just to remind you, Saturday is 'straight-jacket cleaning day' - not sure who's turn it is this week, but someone should be around soon to collect your jacket for dry cleaning.

No, I haven't visited many other forums lately... I feel right at home here. And so will you, I bet. There are all types here: young and old, professional  pilots, those content just to fly sims, and all types in between. Different backgrounds, different views, but we try to keep it civil.

I've recently had a penicillin injection actually, but I don't take off my straight jacket for any reason!  I had to seal my arms away for reasons that shall remain undisclosed.
