Views about YOUR country

Postby Souichiro » Wed Jun 29, 2005 3:35 pm

Well I hope this doesn't turn into a flame topic......What is your opinion about the country that you live in?

This is my personal view about my own country: The Netherlands

We are a mess! I think these last few years the county did a turn for the worse....

Why is it that things only change when it's already to late? A dutch prisoner on leave has Murdered a man after escaping from the attention of his guard...And now rules are going to be changed...Bit late isn't it?

Even in my own village A hundred or so meters from my home...There is a Crossway...2 people had to be run over by trucks before our local govt felt it neccesary to change the infrastructure..

Our entire GOVT system is on the verge of collapsing. At least so it seems..They have absolutely no credibility left and yet they stay...Unfortunately I don't see much chance of improvement if new elections would be held today or tomorrow....

The Dutch Society in my views is falling apart...An increasing number of groups is being formed..Most of them with ethnic backgrounds...Native dutch and "Foreigner" relations are worsening...Fear is gaining the upper hand....These problems are caused a small group of people on any side, Problems are there

When you have a popular voice nowadays you have to fear for your life...Two Criticasters have been Murdered in recent years..Theo Van Gogh and Pim Fortuyn... Politicians have to be kept in a safehouse, because their lives can't be guaranteed.....

Our economy isn't exactly blooming also..Although improvement is showing..

Don't get me wrong....I still like it here, however things are turning for the worse I think. I like the way that we are quite "liberal" Everything or at least a lor is discussable.. I like that.

Internationally we are a joke....no explanation needed I think...

Well that's a short summary on my views of Holland

Please people Refrain to comments about your own country...Or at least be gentle and carefull in the voicing of opinions about other countries....

Hope this works out properly.. ;D

Whis is the monkey guilty of unlocking this?

This topic is a flame topic and nobody will give a neutral opinion and what they might give will be biased in one area or another.

Can't blame ya ;D

It seemed like a bright idea when I wrote this yesterday...I always was curious about what people think of the country that they live in.... I was cautious with the writing of it too... Surprised I was when it was locked faster than you could say For Shizzle... After A PM answer at the thread ( a good and decent one) And taking into consideration what I wrote back( this thread is only the tip of the iceberg) I thought that it was good that this one was locked. In fact I hoped they threw away the key... Surprised even more I was when I saw it was unlocked...

So  ??? ??? ???

Better leave this locked me thinks ;D

Time to dim down on the bright ideas now ;D
