check it out- http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/06/17/blimp.down.ap/index.html

Its not the Hindenburg*, but still pretty interesting.

*probably spelled wrong, and yes I know the Hindenburg was an airship and not a blimp. ;)

Happened a few days ago, but I've decided to stop posting events such as this so as to not have to keep saying "We really shouldn't speculate on causes just yet."

LOL

A blimp is an airship ( a balloon that can be steered); the difference is that blimps are nonrigid (no frame, just a gondola hung from the gas bag), and big mamas like the Hindenburg had framework  supporting groups of gas "cells", with a skin over the whole thing.
Years ago, a blimp had a rupture over Manhattan, and wound up draped over an apartment building... again, nobody hurt. Good thing they usually don't fly very high...

Hi TacitBlue:

Did you know that Canada is going to have the largest military squadron of "HOT AIR AIRSHIPS" :)

Yes...it has not been officially released yet but we have found that we have the largest supply of "HOT AIR" in the world! :)

The taxpayers found this supply of "HOT AIR" right here, it is in our Capital, right in our House of Commons and we found it was supplied by "ALL" our very own members of Parliament.

What a wonderful discovery and it will be free ;DLOLwe hope.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
